Obituary of Becky Lynn Avery 1971-2022
On Saturday, September 10, 2022, Becky Avery, loving wife and mother of two daughters passed away at the age of 51. Becky was born on February 15, 1971, to Stanley and Markala Stanton. Becky grew up in the small, rural town of Tranquility, CA. She graduated from Fresno State in 1996 and went on to become a Registered Nurse in 1996. She loved being a nurse and helped many people over the course of her 26-year career.
In her time at Fresno State, she met a handsome man she would go on to marry. Michael and Becky were married on September 14, 1996. Together they raised two beautiful daughters. They welcomed their firstborn, Madison, in 2000. Their second daughter, Megan was born in 2006. Becky was the definition of a proud mother. She and Michael got their girls involved in sports at a young age. Their weekends were always filled with softball and volleyball. Becky watched Madison graduate from CSU Monterey Bay in May of 2022. She loved traveling with Megan and watching her play Beach Volleyball. Becky loved traveling. She enjoyed family trips to Hawaii, New York, Washington DC, Las Vegas and of course Disneyland.
Becky is survived by her husband, Michael, and their two daughters, Madison and Megan; her parents, Stanley and Markala Stanton, sisters Jaime Stewart and her husband David, Kristy Jones, and her husband Jason. Additionally, Becky is survived by her in-laws Steve and Janice Avery & Holly Breckinridge, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws Jeremy & Sandy Garrison, Russell & Celene Wells, Jessica Garrison, Anthony & Sarah La Notte, and Kari La Notte, along with many loved nephews and nieces.
Lastly, Becky is survived by her loving dog, Rocky.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 14, 2022, at Saint Anthony of Padua at 5770 N Maroa Avenue in Fresno at 10 am. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the Avery family requests donations for Madison and Megan to continue their education for Graduate School and College
