Positive thoughts are what they need at the Folsom Ice Rink where getting up and running wasn’t easy. They’ve had nearly a dozen incidents where nearly 20 people jumped over the fence and destroyed the equipment – which delayed opening day by about three weeks.

All eyes are on the rink, waiting for the repairs to be completed. Bayside Church had to cancel their youth trip again and again.
“We just had to move the date, ‘Oh, we think the ice cream will be ready by that date’ and then we would tell everyone and they would say ‘awww’ and then here we are,” said Brian Hopkins, pastor of Bayside Church Folsom.
But the wait was worth it.
“It’s a great burden to be taken from us because our whole goal is to open up – to see the smiling faces,” said Jackson. “I mean, that’s actually an affair of the heart.”
