FOX40, Nexstar Media donate over $ 10,000 to the Sacramento Salvation Army

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KTXL) – In the spirit of Giving Tuesday, FOX40, together with our parent company Nexstar Media Group Inc. and its charity foundation, made a donation to the Sacramento Chapter of the Salvation Army.

The Salvation Army said the US $ 10,040 donation will be used to help over 6,000 children in the area.

Last year, in the midst of the pandemic, the Salvation Army distributed 32,500 gifts and 23,000 meals, and helped 16,000 people in Sacramento County during the Christmas season.

The Salvation Army’s Sacramento County Operations are an invaluable resource for the area in times of need, year round, and especially during the holiday season. For many years, KTXL-TV FOX40 has been proud to partner with an organization that really does the best in our community and we will work with them again to ensure that their resources are known and their messages are loud and clear throughout the time Sacramento region can be heard clearly. Giving back to the communities served by Nexstar across the country is at the core of the company’s mission and that of FOX40, and we are honored that the Nexstar Media Foundation makes this donation in recognition of the close relationship between KTXL-TV, his co-workers and the Salvation Army.

Scot Chastain, Vice President and General Manager of KTXL-TV FOX40
