High school football: Georgia’s Gunner Stockton is nearing number 3 on the list of all-time touchdowns

Rabun County’s Gunner Stockton recently surpassed Gainesville’s DeShaun Watson as the Georgia all-time total touchdown leader, but he’s also rising on the national all-time total touchdown list.

With a total of 221 pass and rushing touchdowns, Stockton is # 6 of all time on the top 50 total career touchdowns list. He is nine points from third place, held by Chazz Surratt of East Lincoln (Denver, NC), who had a total of 229 touchdowns. Will Grier of Davidson Day (Davidson, NC) has 226 while Grant Gunnell of St. Pius X (Houston) has 223.

Maty Mauk from Kenton (Ohio) is the all-time leader with a total of 278 touchdowns. Jake Browning of Folsom, California is number 2 at 243.

The all-time list includes several players whose career-rushing touchdowns could not be determined. Ben Mauk of Kenton, Ohio, for example, had 18 rousing touchdowns as a senior and 11 as a junior, but his second touchdowns were not reported. Others that fall into this category are marked with an asterisk. Their partially rushing touchdown totals have been added to their pass touchdown marks.
