January 22, 2022 — The National Weather Service Hanford Office reports that a high wind warning for portions of the Sierra Nevada in Mariposa, Madera and Fresno counties will remain in effect through 12:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
A high wind warning means that a dangerous high wind event is expected. Devastating gusts of wind knock down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Traveling will be dangerous, especially for high profile vehicles.
