MAJOR roadworks on Stockton Heath paths may take up to 14 weeks.
On Monday 17th January the renewal of the pavements along the A56 Grappenhall Road, Stockton Heath begins.
The work will take place Monday to Friday between 8.30 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. on roads that have been cleared.
All footpaths, as well as the street available for on-street parking outside of working hours, will be fully open to pedestrians.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times during the work.
Vehicles parked on the street, shoulder or footpath obstructing the work may be removed.
A council spokesman said: “Unfortunately, despite letters and notices being sent, a number of local residents/businesses have not trimmed their overhanging vegetation and these sections of the footpath will be exempt from renewal work until a solution to this problem can be found.”
