You can’t make music without love, and that’s what the Sacramento Valley Chorus is built on.

“It’s based on the idea that when you walk through the door you’re a family,” said choirmaster Dede Nibler. “And you come together and bring in your voice to make this beautiful music.”

Their passionate and patriotic voices will also be heard aboard the USS Missouri as part of a three-day tour to mark the anniversary.

“This is for the world and a renewed recognition of the men and women who stood up for us and continue to do so to this day,” said Nibler.

For the singers, the pride and excitement of representing Sacramento and honoring our veterans is hard to miss.

“I’m so ready to go,” said Sacramento Valley Chorus singer Carol Wharton. “It’s going to be such a great time and such an honor.”
