Stockton Kings rise to defeat Salt Lake City stars

the The Stockton Kings (6-3) of the NBA G League defeated the Salt Lake City Stars (3-6) 123-118 at Stockton Arena.

The Kings outplayed the Stars 68-61 in the first half and took a 123-118 lead in the fourth quarter. Kings guard DJ Steward led with 24 points and three rebounds. Kings power forward Emanuel Terry followed with 21 points and eight rebounds. Stockton finished the game with 0.600 percent from the field, 0.515 percent from three, and 0.923 percent from the free throw line.

Stars guard Carsen Edwards dominated with 31 points. Small forward Derrick Alston Jr. recorded 18 points, eight rebounds and two assists. Salt Lake finished the game with 0.500 percent from the field, 0.368 percent from three and 0.700 percent from the free throw line.

The Stockton Kings take on the Iowa Wolves on January 28 at 7:00 p.m. PT at Stockton Arena. Fans can watch the game on ESPN+.
