Dubbed ‘fearless’, The Mysterines are already on their way to success and have already been endorsed by NME, Steve Lamaq, Jack Saunders and Radio 1’s Greg James.

The awaited announcement of The Mysterines comes from Darlington promoters Track, who are helming the newest stage at Stockton Calling in the Social Room.

They will lead the stage under the Noisy Daughters stage – a women-centric organization celebrating women in the music industry.

Sarah Wilson of Tracks said: “After seeing The Mysterines live at Twisterella Festival a few years ago we were absolutely blown away by them and have wanted to work with them ever since.

“The band’s rise to festival headlining is truly deserved and with Lia Metcalfe’s stunningly powerful vocals coupled with the band’s wall of rock sound, we are extremely excited to have the band and our Noisy Daughters stage come along conducts.”

Stockton Calling is an all day music festival taking over 11 of Stockton’s music venues and clubs in a day where over 80 bands perform. The festival is all about showcasing some of the best original emerging music – both homegrown and far away – alongside some established favorites and legends.

Hosted by ARC, KU Promotions and Tees Music Alliance, the festival has built a reputation for showcasing some of the best up and coming bands from across the country alongside big names like We Are Scientists, Blossoms, Field Music, The Futureheads and more sea power.

Stockton Calling starts at 1pm on Saturday 16 April and tickets can be purchased at www.stocktoncalling.co.uk
