Woman found dead in Modesto hotel room, police say

The body of a woman was found in a motel room Wednesday morning in Modesto, the police said. Officers are investigating it as a homicide.Staff at the Best Western Hotel located at 2001 West Orangeburg Ave. found a guest dead in one of the rooms, the Modesto Police Department said. Staff at the Best Western Hotel located at 2001 West Orangeburg Ave. found a guest dead in one of the rooms, the Modesto Police Department said. Officers went to the hotel after the call came in around 11 am

It is unknown how long the woman was staying at the hotel.
