Modesto – Douglas E. Bennett, 44, of Modesto, passed away at his home, Thursday, September 1st, 2022.
He was born in Jacksonville, IL on September 18, 1977, the son of Thomas E. and Gladys M. Henderson Bennett. He married Billy, March 12, 2015.
Surviving is his wife, Billy and his boys Tyler, Hunter, Brandon, Zek, Gunner, and Max; mother, Gladys Bennett of Modesto, and sister, Dana (Greg) Homer of Concord. He was preceded in death by his father, Tom, and brothers, Dale and Tony Bennett.
Doug graduated from Triopia High School. He was a loving husband and father. He also loved his job, which he spent 15 years working for Maguire Wastewater Solutions. Everyone who met Doug, never forgot how easy going, and caring he was. He enjoyed building and driving cars in demolition derby competitions. He most definitely loved spending time with his wife, his boys, and his family and friends. Doug loved cooking and trying new recipes and watched food and cooking shows whenever he could.
Cremation rights have been accorded. Daws Family Funeral Home in Jacksonville is in charge of arrangements.
