Author Fair to be held at the Modesto Library | community

The Stanislaus County Library will host its 11th Annual Local Author Fair from 10 am to 1 pm on Saturday at the Modesto Library portico. Community members will have an opportunity to meet with a variety of local authors. A selection of children’s, teen and adult titles in a variety of genres will be available for purchase.

Participating authors include Pamela Atherstone, Karen Baker, Jennie Chadwick, Ellen Cummins, Harold DeArmond, David DeBrito, Mike Dowd, Connie Drumm, Brian Duggan, Claudia Hagen, Kathryn Inman, Wiley Joiner, Donald Kropp, Breanna Mendoza, Carmen Maria Navarro, Claudia Newcorn, Patti Robinson, Salvatore Salerno, Linda Scheller, Gary Thomas, Lee Tidball, Ken White, and Chrys Wimer.

“The Local Author Fair is a great opportunity to meet local authors, and ask questions about their work,” said Susan Lilly, communications, marketing, and fund development manager for the Stanislaus County Library. “The event showcases the writing talent in various genres.”

The event is free of charge and will be held on the 16thth Street side of the library portico. The Modesto Library is located at 1500 I Street. Free parking is available in the parking lot behind the library and on surrounding streets.
