Riverbank, California – Clarence Edward Siler, Jr. 86 of Riverbank, CA, passed away peacefully at home on June 27, 2022, surrounded by his family. Clarence was born on November 07, 1935 in Liberty, North Carolina. He was the oldest of ten children and left North Carolina as a teenager moving to Los Angeles, CA and then Detroit, MI. Clarence worked in sales, owning a furniture store then selling cars in the motor city of Detroit, leading the region in auto sales. He moved back to California 35 years ago, settling in Riverbank where he and his wife Dorothy owned residential care facilities in Riverbank and Modesto. Clarence was an avid golfer and was happiest on the course. When not on the course, Clarence could often be found singing and recording songs, another hobby he excelled at. He also enjoyed making people laugh, bringing joy to others with his witty jokes and in his retirement, spending time keeping up with family and friends by way of social media. He was someone who appreciated life and exemplified kindness. Clarence was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. His passion and integrity for those he loved were unwavering. His infectious laugh and smile will live on forever. Clarence is survived by his wife Dorothy and his loving family: his children Greg Siler, LaVonia S. Collins both of North Carolina, Sultan Siler, Saudia Whitaker, Shadar Siler of California; ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, his brothers Wayne Siler of California and Robert Siler of North Carolina, very close cousin Ernest Bundy of North Carolina along with several nieces and nephews and countless extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Sr & Christine Siler, and his siblings Eddie Siler, Gerada Siler, Larry Siler, Quincey Siler, Ann Siler, Norvia Siler Brooks, and Levenia Siler Bumpus. All held him in the highest regard and loved him dearly.
