Events happening Dec. 2, 3 and 4 in Northern California

From holiday displays across the region to the California International Marathon to Team USA watch parties, there are a lot of options if you’re looking for something to do this weekend in Northern California. California International MarathonThe 39th California International Marathon with more than 10,000 runners are set to race on Sunday. Modesto’s Celebration of Lights Holiday ParadeModesto’s Celebration of Lights Holiday Parade is also happening Saturday and has a theme of “Dashing through the Decades. The parade begins at 5:30 pm Dreamers Holiday Market If you’re looking to do a little holiday shopping this weekend, there’s a new way to check some gifts off your list and support local entrepreneurs. The Dreamers Holiday Market kicks off on Saturday in Downtown Sacramento. It’s a popup that features 11 entrepreneurs from the Calling All Dreamers program. The market will be open on Saturdays and Sundays from 12 to 7 pm starting Saturday until Dec. 18. It’s located at the corner of 11th and K Streets. Naughty v. Nice Holiday ConcertOn Saturday, you and your family can head to Rancho Cordova for the Naughty v. Nice Holiday Concert presented by Symphony d’Oro Rancho Cordova. What’s being called a “musical extravaganza” will give a twist on the classic story of Hansel and Gretel, followed by holiday classics the audience can sing along to. There will be one on Saturday to cheer on Team USA at Henry’s Lounge. Doors open at 6:30 am for those 21 and over. Sacramento Republic FC is holding official World Cup watch parties at Mimosa House locations, Public House Downtown and Iron Horse Tavern on R Street. If you watch a match at one of those locations you can scan a QR code at your table for a chance to win a new TV, Republic FC season tickets, gift cards and more. The parade was canceled due to the weather. Pancakes with Black SantaPancakes with Black Santa will be at Florin Square on Saturday. The event will run from 8 am to 12 pmTickets are $5 per person and includes a pancake breakfast, photos with Santa, games, activities and Christmas vendors.DOCO Light Up the HolidaysA drone show is coming to DOCO on Saturday. Plus, the Sacramento Kings will host an additional drone show following Sunday’s game. On Saturday, enjoy a fun-filled day of holiday cheer including Selfies with Santa from noon to 6 pm, cookie decorating from 3 to 6 pm and two drone shows at 5:30 and 6:30 pm Imaginarium Light Up the NightImaginarium Light Up the Night started its winter run at Cal Expo in Sacramento. Three million lights, carnival rides, ice skating, laser tag, a beer garden and a pirate circus show are all part of the display. Imaginarium runs through Jan. 2 on Thursday through Sunday nights. It will then be open every day starting Dec. 15. Weekday admission tickets start at $25 for adults and $19 for seniors and children ages 4-12. Stockton’s inaugural holiday parade

Stockton’s inaugural holiday parade is happening Saturday at 3 pm and begins on Weber Avenue in front of the Children’s Museum. Not only does this free event offer a parade, but the kiddos can also get pictures with Santa and watch the city’s tree lighting ceremony.

Dreamer’s Holiday Market

If you’re looking to do a little holiday shopping this weekend, there’s a new way to check some gifts off your list and support local entrepreneurs.

The Dreamers Holiday Market kicks off on Saturday in Downtown Sacramento.

It’s a popup that features 11 entrepreneurs from the Calling All Dreamers program. The market will be open on Saturdays and Sundays from 12 to 7 pm starting Saturday until Dec. 18. It’s located at the corner of 11th and K Streets.

naughty v. Nice Holiday Concert

On Saturday, you and your family can head to Rancho Cordova for the Naughty v. Nice Holiday Concert presented by Symphony d’Oro Rancho Cordova.

Imaginarium Light Up the Night

Imaginarium Light Up the Night started its winter run at Cal Expo in Sacramento. Three million lights, carnival rides, ice skating, laser tag, a beer garden and a pirate circus show are all part of the display.

Imaginarium runs through Jan. 2 on Thursday through Sunday nights. It will then be open every day starting Dec. 15

Weekday admission tickets start at $25 for adults and $19 for seniors and children ages 4-12. Weekend prices start at $27 for adults and $21 for seniors and children.

Both the Sacramento and Folsom ice rinks are open for the holiday season.

Sacramento:

The Downtown Sacramento Ice Rink is open through Jan. 16, 2023. It’s located on 7th and K streets near the Golden 1 Center.

The rink is open from 2-9 pm, Tuesdays through Thursdays, and from 10 am to 10 pm Fridays through Sundays, weather permitting. General admission is $15 for most guests. Children ages 6 and under can get tickets for $8.

Admission includes skate rentals.
