LIVE COPTER THREE IS OVERHEAD. THIS IS OFF OF MCHENRY AVENUE. RIGHT NOW, MCHENRY AVENUE IS CLOSED AT BANGS AVENUE, AS FIRE CREWFIS GHT THIS FIRE. YOU CAN SEE THE SKEMO BILLOWING OUT. WE KNOW THAT THERE IS A LOT OF STUFF INSIDE THEY CAN CATCH FIRE. WE DO TNO KNOW IF ANYONE HAS BEEN HURT. WE HAVE BEEN TOLD NO INJURIES HAVE BEEN REPORTED. THIS IS MCHENRY AVENUE. YOU CAN SEE FIREFIGHTERS ON THE GROUND ON THOSE AMFL BESURNING INSIDE. WE DO NOT SEE ANY OVERHEAD,UT B YOU’RE SEEING SOME BLACKENED PORTIONS, SO WE DO KNOW FLAMES ARE INSIDE. JUST HOW BAD, WE DON’T KNOW YET. >> THEY HAVE THOSE HOSES HOOKED UP TO THFIE RE HYDRANTS. YOU CAN SEE ALL THEIR FE ENGINES RESPONDING TO THIS FOUR-ALARM FIRE. YOU CAN SEE THE SMOKE COMING OUT FROM THE T VENTS ON THE ROOFTOP. THERE IS A LOT OF FLAMMABLE STUFF INSIDE. EMT THEON SCENE, BUT IT DOES NOT LOOK LIKE ANYEON HAS BEEN INJURED. The Salvation Army donation center and thrift shop in Modesto has caught fire, prompting a large response, officials said. Caltrans District 10 said McHenry Avenue is closed at Bangs Avenue is closed because of the fire. There is no estimated time of reopening.The Modesto Fire Department said the fire reached four alarms, which is their system of categorizing how severe the fire is. The higher the alarm, the more personnel and resources are sent to assist. There are no reported injuries, and the cause of the fire is unknown. Follow our interactive traffic map.

The Modesto Fire Department is currently working a fire at the Family Thrift Store on McHenry Avenue. Northbound McHenry traffic is being diverted to Claribel Avenue. Southbound traffic on McHenry Avenue is heavily congested.
