New Latin Music Festival Launches in Sacramento

Entrepreneur and founder Romeo Ussery is proud to announce the launch of his latest endeavor, Outside Live, a new events production and promotions group based in Sacramento and serving fans across Northern California. The new organization will kick off 2023 with a brand new festival concept debuting in Sacramento called Estamos Vivos Carnival on Sunday, February 19.

As a proud minority and independently-owned organization, the Outside Live team seeks to offer music lovers of all ages highly-curated festival-going experiences at each of its festivals starting with the inaugural Estamos Vivos Carnival, which will highlight some of today’s most sought-after -after Latin music performers, as well iconic as genre trailblazers and classic throwback acts featuring the sounds of reggaeton, cumbia, rap, corridos, and more.

Year 1 headliners include a pair of reggaeton pioneers and Latin Grammy Award winners, Tito “El Bambino” and De La Ghetto, who will also be joined by two of today’s hottest up-and-coming Latin music stars including Cuban-born Corrido singer /songwriter and Latin trap rapper Ovi as well as Miami-born songstress Mariah Angeliq, who is commonly referred to “La Princesa de Miami” (The Princess of Miami).

Additional acts slated to perform on Sunday, February 19 include a number of platinum-selling recording Latin music artists whose catalogs of chart-topping hits dominated radio waves and weekend parties alike from the 1990s through today including Baby Bash, MC Magic, Paula DeAndra, Frankie J, and Nina Sky.

This new festival event will take place at Southside Park Amphitheater, a 19.9-acre public park located in the southwest corner of downtown Sacramento featuring ample greenspace, although the festival will purposefully limit festival attendance next spring with the hopes of providing a safe and positive experience for first-time patrons. There are many transportation and dining options, as well as hotel accommodations available in the surrounding area, which the organizers hope will also provide a positive economic impact on the local Sacramento community.

Founder Romeo Ussery said, “This is truly a dream come true. Following in my father’s footsteps by joining the live music industry is a long-time effort of mine that has finally come true, and I couldn’t be more excited at the opportunity. I’m grateful to surround myself with some of the best in the business so we can work together to put on some amazing shows for fans here in Northern California and beyond. Get ready because Estamos Vivos is only the beginning.”

Fans are encouraged to stay tuned as more details surrounding the new fan experience at Estamos Vivos Carnival will be revealed in the near future, along with lineup and ticket-on-sale information surrounding an entirely new two-day festival concept taking place May 2023 in the greater bay area.
