AND FOR OURSELVES AS WELL SO WE HAVE A CUTE OUTFIT TO WEAR TONIGHT. >> THE FAST-PACED YET FESTIVE VIBE AT AREA SHOPPING CENTERS. AN EXPERIENCE HARD WON FOR THOSE ON THE INSIDE. >> THERE WAS NO PARKING SPACES, NO PARKING SPOTS. >> A PAIN TO PARK. >> THE INTERSECTIONS ARE ALWAYS >> CROWDED AND BLOCKED. WITH TRAFFIC SO INTENSE, IT DROVE SOME TO AVOID THAT STRESS ALTOGETHER SO THEY COULD GET STRAIGHT TO THE SHOPPING. >> WE DID VALET. SO, WE DON’T WANT TO DEAL WITH THAT SO WE JUST DID VALET. >> THAT’S THE PRO TIP? >> YEAH. >> ALRIGHT, MAKING NOTE OF THAT FOR NEXT YEAR. The eve of Christmas Eve saw shoppers packing into malls and shopping centers.People scrambling to get last-minute holiday gifts encountered thousands doing the exact same thing Friday at Sacramento’s Arden Fair and Roseville’s Westfield Galleria.Shopper Eddie Quintero described the feel of things inside the mall.”It’s like Costco times 10!” Quintero said. “You know when you’re walking around Costco and you’re just like, kind of like rumbling around? That’s what it feels like.”The swarms of festive shoppers inside the malls endured a challenging feat just to make it there.Traffic was intense with cars sitting bumper-to-bumper at entrances and exits, trying to get in or get out. Parking was also a pain, according to many accounts.”There was no parking spaces. No parking spots,” Quintero said. “The intersections are always crowded and blocked.”Despite that, Quintero said he intends to keep smiling.”If you let it get to you, you’re always gonna be down,” he said. “You’re gonna be here anyway so you might as well make the best of it.”
