Tony Franco, 58, Killed in Modesto Pedestrian Crash Tully Road

MODESTO, CA (December 29, 2022) – Tony Franco was killed after a pedestrian crash on Tully Road near a high school in Modesto.

The coroner’s office identified the 58-year-old Modesto man as the victim of the fatal accident which took place last week on Thursday.

The incident began when Tony Franco ran out of gas on Tully Road, north of Mt Vernon Drive, in the city of Modesto. He then walked to the AM/PM about a mile away at Bonnie Avenue.

Victim Hit by Vehicle

Modesto police said as the pedestrian crossed the street to get back to his car, another vehicle approached and struck him. The driver hit him near the Davis High School.

The Modesto Bee wrote that the collision occurred on December 22 shortly before 10 pm Tony Franco died at the scene of the pedestrian accident.

Loved ones set up a GoFundMe page to help cover the funeral expenses of the victim. Meanwhile, police affirmed that motorist stopped and stayed at the site following the incident.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
