Madrigal was convicted by a jury on May 20, 2022 for assault with intent to rape and forcible digital penetration, according to the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office. The sexual assault happened April 13, 2015 when the victim went out to celebrate her birthday with some friends, one of whom was dating Madrigal at the time. The victim and her friend spent the night at Madrigal’s apartment, where Madrigal proceeded to force himself onto the victim while she was on the couch trying to sleep.
