One person hospitalized after car crashes into tree in north Fresno

Fresno, Calif. (KFSN) — One person was injured after a car crashed into a tree in Fresno on Tuesday night.

The crash happened around 6:00 p.m. in the area of ​​Blackstone and Herndon avenues.

Officials say a man believed to be in his early to mid-20s lost control of his car, drove onto the center median, and hit a tree.

The driver was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Investigators are still working to figure out what caused the crash.

It is unknown if drugs or alcohol were involved.

The road was shut down for several hours after the crash and has since reopened.
