Fresno, California – Victor De Luca’s Obituary
It is with a heavy heart in announcing the death of Victor C. De Luca (aka Vic) of Fresno, California on May 31, 2022. He was 94 years of age. Victor was born on January 28, 1928 in Fresno California. Victor was preceded in death by his parents, Ciriaco and Maria De Luca; his wives Stella Willy De Luca Avila and Noreen Franchi De Luca; his sister Teresa De Luca Italiano, husband Gabriel; brother Angelo De Luca, wife Edna; sister Dominica De Luca; sister Rosie De Luca Barkman, husband Edwin; brother Joe De Luca, his wives Betty Ford De Luca, and Clara Jo Reynolds De Luca; and sister Clara De Luca Clark Bronder; his brothers-in-law, William Brown, William Michael Bronder and Granville King. .
Victor is survived by his brother, Frank De Luca of Clovis; sisters Eda (Edith) De Luca Prieto and Verona De Luca of Clovis, Gracie De Luca Brown of San Jose, and Virginia De Luca King Miller, and her husband Wayne Miller of Selma; six children, his son, Victor De Luca Jr., his wife Donna Jean of Colorado, son Patrick De Luca, his wife Rhonda of Clovis, son Terry Freeman, his wife Deborah of Clovis, daughter Tamela Parker, her husband Todd of Fresno, son David De Luca, his wife Tamara of Fresno. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Victor joined the Army National Guard in Fresno where he spent 11 years, attaining the rank of Warrant Officer-W-1. His profession, being a Butcher for many years working for various supermarkets throughout the Valley while a member of UFCW 8 Butchers Union.
Special thanks to Mary Centeno at the Diocese of Fresno for arranging Father Chika Kamalu’s visit to Victor’s home to administer The Blessing of the Sick, and to Bristol Hospice for all of the nurses, Jessica, Pandora, Lulu, Lettie, Kor, Tiffany, Heather , Gary, Wendy and others for the wonderful care that attended to Victor’s needs.
Arrangements are made through Clovis Funeral Chapel in Clovis. Viewing and Rosary Sunday, June 12 at 3:00 pm – Funeral Mass Monday, June 13, 2002 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Clovis officiated by Father Patrick Okeke – following Mass, graveside services will be held at Clovis Cemetery, immediately followed by a reception at The Veterans Memorial District on 4th Street.
