Fresno Police Make Arrest During Traffic Stop After Noticing Open Containers of Alcohol and Psilocybin Mushrooms in Plain View Inside Vehicle

August 13, 2022 – Southwest DST Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of ​​Blackstone Avenue and Bremer Avenue for a vehicle code violation. Officers contacted the four occupants of the vehicle and while speaking with the occupant’s officers noticed open containers of alcohol and mushrooms in plain view inside the vehicle.

Due to all occupants being under the age of 21 years old to legally possess or consume alcohol, officers requested the subjects exit the vehicle to investigate and search for additional open containers. During the search of the vehicle, officers located:

*A loaded, privately manufactured firearm

*9 Spent Shell Casings

*Cocaine

*psilocybin mushrooms

*Marijuana

*Cartridges of Concentrated Marijuana

*Weight scales

After conducting the search, officers arrested the driver for multiple firearm charges along with multiple charges for possession of narcotics with the intent to sell. Two of the occupants were cited for being minors in possession of marijuana. The fourth occupant was released.
