Truck evading police slams into south Sacramento home

A pickup truck driver fleeing from officers crashed into a south Sacramento home on Thursday, police said. The Sacramento Fire Department said that the home is in the 8100 block of Valley Hi Drive, which is off Center Parkway and north of Cosumnes River Boulevard.Pictures show the truck well inside the home and debris scattered on the yard.Police said a person inside the home was transported to a hospital but is expected to survive. The driver was detained and was booked on charges related to his warrants, as well as pursuit-related charges. Officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with this crime.The fire department said Pacific Gas & Electric Co. crews are at the home fixing a gas meter that was severed from the crash.It is not known what felony warrants the woman had, or if anyone else was inside the home when the truck crashed.
